Dining Experience
As a food reviewer, I have had the pleasure of sampling several dishes at Forbidden Palace, and I was particularly impressed by the intricate balance of flavors. Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients, resulting in vibrant presentations that can only inspire excitement. The rich spices and fragrant herbs tell the story of Thai culinary artistry.
However, not all reviews have been glowing. Many diners have shared mixed experiences, citing issues such as pricing and inconsistencies in food quality. For instance, one customer highlighted the "West End prices" that seemed steep for the locality, while others had concerns about the freshness of ingredients used in their orders. Constructive feedback like this can be essential for a restaurant to thrive, encouraging them to evaluate their practices and maintain high standards.
Conclusion
Forbidden Palace stands out as a vibrant spot for Thai cuisine enthusiasts in Lancing, offering an enticing menu filled with traditional and contemporary options. The journey through its dishes is worth the visit, with the potential for unforgettable flavors. While I encourage guests to embrace the experiences, it’s always wise to share feedback for continuous improvement. Go for the flavors, and let your palate be the judge!

Maybe it's just me, but I wanted something to quick to eat so I chose to sit in Instead of takeaway. Friendly staff, but then again, id be smiling if I was getting away with charging £ for noodles , foo-young and curry sauce.I didn't even have a drink. Appreciate the cost of everything has gone up but to me that's west end prices not lancing..Maybe drop your price for repeat business.

Please do not order from this restaurant / takeaway. I ordered from them today and ordered Thai green chicken curry along with other items. I dished up my food and went to eat this but thankfully I cut into a piece of chicken before I did as I saw that this was pink and raw. I ordered through just eat where the rating was good however wish I had checked google reviews first because clearly there are numerous issues with this restaurant but this could’ve been even worse if I had eaten anything. I just wish I hadn’t given the food back so this could be given to someone in food standards. Photos attached

First time ordering a take out and eating food from here.Whilst the food was ok, a couple of items did not taste as expected: The sweet & sour sauce tasted like a gravyThe crispy king prawn rolls were minced fillings and the peking spare ribs were tough to eat.Other than that, the sides of the chef’s mixed hors d’oeuvres for two and the special yung chow fried rice were both good.

We don't have a chinese take away often but we had saved enough up to have a treat. This is our go to as have always had nice hot good tasting food. We are wondering if it has changed hands as the one last night was awful the barbeque spare ribs were in a wishy washy tasteless greasy sauce. The ribs were greasy no flavour and all fat. The noodles were cold and running grease. The lemon chicken can only be described as rank they swimming in a greasy sauce and as you cut the chicken all yew could see was an undercooked meat. The prawn crackers were hard and greasy. We did phone and they said they would send another out we couldn't even think of that asked for a full refund which we are waiting on and wont be using them again.
